So I have a lot on my mind this evening and I know that the grounds of writing that I feel I am best at is music and sports but tonight I feel inspired if you will to write about a very general subject and that is America and Black people. How do black people fit into America? Some people still feel that this isn't home for black and that we should migrate back to Africa. A man by the name of Eugene Robinson a very established journalist for the Washington Post came to my school tonight to talk about this among other things, and the thing that stuck with me most was there is no America without Blacks. Nor is there America without Latinos, Irish, Asian and many other cultures. This is crazy to me that something that is so true mean that Black people still carry a negative connotation to it. I may not always express it or show it but who I am is something that I am very proud it is who I am. But I just wanted to touch on that because the line is so simple but is so true, that Blacks don't have to fit into America, because they are America, so with that said I encourage everyone who doesn't know who Eugene Robinson to google him he is brilliant!
